National Women's Health Week and Your Self-Care

Last week, Mother's Day kicked off National Women's Health Week, which is the official start of Women's Health Month. May is also Mental Health Awareness Month. Today's email is a reminder to all of us amazing women to prioritize our health. Taking care of ourselves every day is the best thing we can do for ourselves and for those who love us (and depend on us). It's necessary to optimize your health on a physical, mental, and emotional level with daily, nourishing routines. A daily routine helps regulate and balance you, so all your bodily systems run efficiently and aren't stressed, your spirit feels light and inspired, and your mental health is stable and balanced. You can keep it simple. Remember the basics and add them to your week: Water, Sunlight, Sleep, and Movement.

  • Drink water and avoid the use of substances such as alcohol and drugs.

  • Get outside and spend time in nature. Double dare: without your phone.

  • Connect with others to help reduce feelings of loneliness. Who can you call or meet with today?

  • Be active with regular exercise.

  • Take deep breaths, stretch and meditate.

  • Eat healthy, well-balanced meals.

  • Unwind with activities that inspire and nourish you. Write a list of these activities.

  • Turn off your phone at night (that's a triple dare) and get plenty of sleep.

Also, recognize when you need more help with stress, anxiety, and depression and talk to your doctor. Your daily decisions influence your overall health. Have compassion for yourself and align yourself with feeling healthier each day with choices and routines that support and energize you. Personally, I'm currently focusing on connecting with friends to reduce feelings of loneliness and eating healthy, well-balanced meals. What activities would feel the most supportive for you these days? Let me know in the comments below. Sending you love, peace, and harmony, XO Elyce
